कांग्रेस नेता और लोकसभा में विपक्ष के नेता राहुल गांधी ने आय से अधिक संपत्ति के आरोपों से जुड़े मामले में इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट के आदेश को सुप्रीम कोर्ट में चुनौती दी है। हाईकोर्ट ने CBI और ED को उनके खिलाफ लगाए गए आरोपों की जांच/सत्यापन करने के निर्देश दिए थे।
राहुल गांधी ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में याचिका दाखिल कर हाईकोर्ट के आदेश पर सवाल उठाए हैं। इसके अलावा उन्होंने मामले को इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट से दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट स्थानांतरित करने की मांग भी की है। सुप्रीम कोर्ट में उनकी याचिका पर 17 अगस्त को सुनवाई संभावित है।
गौरतलब है कि यह मामला कर्नाटक के BJP कार्यकर्ता एस. विग्नेश शिशिर की शिकायत से जुड़ा है। फिलहाल आरोपों की जांच/सत्यापन की प्रक्रिया चल रही है; इसे राहुल गांधी के खिलाफ दोष सिद्ध होना नहीं माना जा सकता।
